ScopeX Media is a Calgary-based digital marketing agency founded by Gery Pap. We help service businesses and growing companies across Canada and the US get more customers through digital channels.
We offer SEO, Google & Meta Ads management, website development, social media management, branding, email marketing, online reputation management, automation & AI implementation, and business development advisory. We also run a Calgary-specific lawn sign placement program.
What makes us different: no long-term contracts, transparent pricing, and founder-led execution. Gery is personally involved in every account — not handed off to junior staff.
ScopeX is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We work with clients across Canada and the United States.
Most of our digital services (SEO, ads, social, email, automation, branding) are fully remote and location-independent. The one exception is our Calgary Lawn Sign Program, which is only available within Calgary due to physical deployment requirements.
Gery Pap is the Founder & CEO of ScopeX Media. He reviews every new client application personally, is involved in strategy across every account, and is directly reachable at 403-408-6389 or admin@scopexmedia.com.
ScopeX does not route clients through account managers who don’t know your business. You always know who is doing the work.
We primarily work with service businesses — trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, landscaping, cleaning), professional services (law, accounting, consulting, healthcare), home services, real estate, and B2B companies.
We also work with e-commerce brands, local retail, and startups building a digital presence from scratch. Our Bronze-tier services are designed for businesses just getting started. Our Platinum tier is for companies trying to dominate their market.

No long-term contracts. All ScopeX digital services are month-to-month. Cancel with 30 days’ notice at any time, for any reason.
We don’t lock clients in. If you’re not getting value, you should be free to leave — and we’re confident our results speak louder than a contract.

Our four tiers reflect both scope of work and investment level:
- Bronze — ~50% below market rate. Entry-level, foundation-building.
- Silver — ~30% below market rate. Growing scope for expanding businesses.
- Gold — Market rate. Full-service execution for established businesses.
- Platinum — Maximum output for businesses pursuing market dominance.
You can mix tiers across services. Many clients run SEO at Bronze, Ads at Bronze, and scale up as results compound. See the full pricing page for exact rates per service.
No setup fees on any digital marketing service. SEO, ads, social, email, automation, reputation management — all start with zero setup fees.
The exceptions are: Website Development (one-time project fee from $1,000), Branding (one-time project fee from $400), and the Lawn Sign Program ($33/sign printing cost — non-refundable as signs go to print immediately).
The lowest-priced individual service is Business Development Bronze at $250/month. Most clients start with 2–3 Bronze services, typically $1,000–$1,500/month total.
Our Foundation Launch package bundles 6 Bronze-tier services for $1,499/month — the most cost-effective way to launch everything simultaneously.
Note: Ad spend (paid directly to Google or Meta) is separate from our management fee. We recommend a minimum of $1,000–$1,500/month in ad spend for meaningful data and lead volume.
Yes. You own everything. Your Google Ads account, Meta Ads account, website, domain, social profiles, and all assets ScopeX creates belong to you.
We operate inside your accounts — not through ScopeX-owned assets. If you cancel, you take everything with you, fully intact. We will not hold your data, ad history, or creative assets hostage.

No. Our Ads Management fee is a flat monthly retainer. We do not take a percentage of your ad spend, and we have no financial incentive to inflate your budget.
Many agencies charge 10–20% of ad spend, which creates a direct conflict of interest. Our interests are aligned with your results, not with spending more of your money.
All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD). This applies to all services — retainers, one-time projects, hosting, and the lawn sign program.
US-based clients are billed in CAD unless a separate arrangement is made. Given current exchange rates, this typically makes our services very competitive for US clients.
Yes. Our Startup Growth Packages bundle services at a meaningful discount:

SEO is a long-term investment. Realistic timeline:
- Month 1–2 — Technical fixes, on-page optimization, GBP improvements. Foundation being built.
- Month 3–4 — Early ranking movements for lower-competition keywords. Local map pack improvements often visible first.
- Month 6+ — Meaningful organic traffic increases. Higher-value keywords starting to rank.
- Month 9–12 — Compounding results. Consistent lead flow from organic search.
Anyone promising page-one rankings in 30–60 days is lying.
Realistic timeline: 3–12 months
SEO has three pillars and we work across all of them:
- Technical SEO — Site speed, mobile optimization, crawlability, structured data, Core Web Vitals
- On-page SEO — Keyword research, title tags, meta descriptions, content optimization, internal linking, location pages
- Off-page SEO — Google Business Profile management, citation building (Yelp Canada, Yellow Pages, HomeStars, BBB), backlink acquisition, local authority building

No — and anyone who does is misleading you. Google’s algorithm is not controlled by any agency.
What we guarantee: the work will be done correctly, consistently, and to current best practices. You’ll receive monthly reports on ranking movements, traffic, and leads — so you see exactly what’s happening. If results aren’t materializing, we’ll tell you why and adjust.
For most service businesses we recommend running both simultaneously from month one:
- Google Ads for immediate leads in the first 30–60 days while SEO builds
- SEO for compounding organic traffic that reduces ad dependency over 6–12 months

Yes. While we have deep Calgary-market experience, our SEO service is available across Canada and the US. We handle both local SEO (city + service targeting, map pack optimization, GBP) and broader national or e-commerce SEO depending on your business model.
Every SEO client receives a monthly performance report covering: keyword ranking movements, organic traffic trends (Google Analytics), Google Business Profile performance (views, calls, direction requests), and a summary of work completed and upcoming priorities.
Gold and Platinum tiers include more granular competitive analysis, conversion attribution, and strategic recommendations. You’ll always know exactly what’s happening with your campaign.
We manage campaigns on:
- Google Ads — Search, Display, Performance Max, Local Service Ads
- Meta Ads — Facebook and Instagram (demand creation, retargeting, lead gen)
Bronze covers a single platform. Silver and above include multi-platform management. If you’re unsure which platform fits your business, that’s part of what we figure out together during onboarding.
Ad spend is paid directly to Google or Meta by you — it does not pass through ScopeX. Recommended minimum ad spend by goal:
- Testing — $500–$1,000/month (limited data, slower optimization)
- Consistent lead generation — $1,000–$1,500/month minimum for most service businesses
- Scaling aggressively — $3,000+/month for meaningful volume and competitive positioning
We’ll advise on the right budget for your market and goals during onboarding.
Google Search Ads can generate leads within days of launch. Meta Ads typically take 1–2 weeks to exit the learning phase and optimize toward conversions.
The first 30 days are always a data-gathering period — testing audiences, ad copy, and landing pages. Month 2 and beyond is when optimization compounds and cost-per-lead drops.

Yes — this is non-negotiable. We don’t run paid campaigns without conversion tracking. At minimum: Google Ads conversion tracking (forms, calls, bookings), call tracking to attribute phone leads, and Google Analytics 4 goals.
Running ads without tracking is the #1 mistake we see. If your website doesn’t support conversion tracking, we’ll flag this before spending a dollar on ads.
Most bad ad results trace to the same mistakes: no conversion tracking, generic copy, weak landing pages, wrong targeting, and no optimization after launch.
The ScopeX approach: we audit before spending anything, fix the foundation first (tracking, website CTA, landing page), then run structured monthly optimization cycles — not set-and-forget.
Before hiring any agency, ask to see their campaign data, who specifically manages your account, and what their monthly optimization process looks like. That conversation tells you everything.
We primarily manage Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok, depending on where your audience is most active.
Bronze covers a single platform. Silver and above cover multiple platforms. During onboarding, we identify the 1–2 platforms that will generate the most value for your specific business before adding complexity.
We handle full content creation: copy, graphics, and scheduling. You don’t need to write anything or provide creative assets (though real photos, project shots, and behind-the-scenes content consistently outperform stock — we always welcome what you have).
Content is built from a strategy around your brand voice, industry, and four core pillars: proof of work, education, behind-the-scenes, and social proof.
For service businesses, organic social media’s primary value is brand trust, not direct lead generation. It keeps you visible in your community, builds credibility before people need your service, and supports conversion when they’re already considering you.
Direct lead generation from social typically requires paid Meta Ads layered on top of organic content. If immediate leads are the goal, Google Ads is the more direct path. Social media is a compounding trust channel — real payoff, but measured in brand authority rather than direct attribution.
Post frequency by tier: Bronze — 8–10 posts/month (single platform). Silver — 15–20 posts/month (multi-platform). Gold & Platinum — high-frequency, campaign-driven posting across all relevant platforms.
We emphasize consistency over volume. 2–3 high-quality, strategic posts per week will always outperform daily generic content.
We primarily build on WordPress, which gives you full ownership and portability. We don’t lock you into a proprietary platform that you lose access to if you leave.
For e-commerce, we also work with Shopify. If you have a platform preference, discuss it with Gery during intake — we’ll find the right solution for your goals.
Typical timelines from kickoff to launch:
- Bronze (5–7 pages) — 1–2 weeks
- Silver (10–15 pages) — 3–4 weeks
- Gold & Platinum (custom builds) — 4–8 weeks
The biggest variable is client responsiveness on feedback, content approvals, and brand assets. We’ll set a clear content checklist at onboarding to keep things moving.
Yes. Two managed hosting options:
- Starter Hosting Bundle — $68/month (hosting + 1 professional email)
- Business Hosting Bundle — $113/month (hosting + 5 emails + email marketing software, up to 5,000 sends/month)
Hosting is optional — you can host anywhere. ScopeX hosting means we handle all renewals, uptime, and technical maintenance. Domain registration also available at ~$50/year. SSL included with all hosting packages.
This is one of the most common situations we encounter. A site can look professional and still fail to convert for a few key reasons:

ScopeX places your branded signs across Calgary neighbourhoods and manages everything: printing, deployment, rotation, and maintenance. The process:
- Choose your sign type (H-Stake or Metal Frame), quantity, and commitment period
- Pay the one-time $33/sign setup fee (covers printing) — non-refundable as signs go to print immediately
- Signs deployed across targeted Calgary neighbourhoods within 48 hours of printing
- ScopeX rotates signs monthly; you answer the calls and close the jobs

H-Stake Signs: Corrugated plastic on wire stakes. You own the signs from day one. Lower monthly cost. No replacement coverage — lost or damaged signs replaced at $33/sign. Good for testing.
Metal Frame Signs: Heavy-duty aluminum frames. ScopeX owns and maintains the frames. Higher monthly cost, but full replacement coverage is included — broken signs replaced free in the same neighbourhood, stolen signs replaced free in a new neighbourhood.
Most clients start with H-Stakes to prove results, then scale to Metal Frames for maximum street presence.
The $33/sign fee covers the actual cost of printing your signs. They go to print the moment you sign up. A custom-printed sign with your brand can’t be returned or reused — it’s a physical asset made specifically for you.
This is a direct print cost pass-through, not a ScopeX profit margin. The non-refundable policy prevents abuse while keeping monthly rates as low as possible. You keep your signs permanently after any commitment period ends.
Yes. You can specify target areas (quadrants, specific neighbourhoods, postal codes) and we prioritize those during deployment.
ScopeX also advises on neighbourhood selection based on your service type, average job value, and where we’ve seen the best response rates for similar businesses. High-density residential areas with active home service demand typically generate the best results.
Yes. Prepaying locks in a lower monthly rate:
- Month-to-month — Standard rates, cancel anytime after month 1
- 3-month prepay — 10% off monthly rate
- 6-month prepay — 17% off monthly rate
